I'm LOVING the little taste of Fall we've been having lately! It's been in the 60's every morning this week, and even though it eventually rises to the 80's, it's still been nice to feel to crisp, cool air if only for a few hours. I dressed Emma Claire in her new Fall dress yesterday and couldn't resist taking some pictures of my sweet girl.
She turned 15 months old on Sunday and gets sassier every day. I had a miscarriage two years ago today and got pregnant with Emma Claire just two weeks later. When I think back on the heartbreak we experienced that day it is bittersweet because if we hadn't lost that baby, we'd never have our precious Emma Claire. God works in mysterious ways, and we thank Him every day for it! :)

You are right...God does work in mysterious ways. Sweet post and adorable dress! By the looks of the pictures, you guys had fun at the beach!!
So glad you had a good vacation--looks like so much fun! ;) Where in the world do you find these precious dresses for Emma Claire? Oh my goodness--could she (or her clothes) be any more beautiful??? I LOVE it!!!
Omgoodness, I never knew about your miscarriage before Emma Clair. I also had a miscarriage 2 weeks before we conceived Alton!
I wish Rebecca could still wear dresses like that! I love it... the perfect fall dress. Happy 15 months... I am so sorry to learn about your MC... I had no idea. I so believe that everything happens for a reason. I hate to tell people that in the face of adversity... I would NEVER tell that to anyone in the face of adversity... but it really is true. We were on the fence with trying for a third... OMG I could not imagine my life without Alexander... he is more trouble than anything ;) but no one quite puts a smile on my face the way he does!
He surely does. I love the 4th picture, btw.
Ok, the picture of her by the tree is amazing. Seriously. It's adorable! :) I love her little fall dress!!!!
She looks absolutely beautiful in her fall dress! I find myself thinking the same as you at times having had several miscarriages before finally getting and staying pregnant with each of my three kids. The heartbreak is so very hard but in the end I got three of the best kids in the world and I can't say I'd change a thing.
These pictures put a smile on my face...She is the sweetest thing! Very touching post too.
I hate we have to miss today, but can't wait to play with everybody soon! I need to try to catch up with you, I have a mommy question, I'll try to call during naptime! :)

angela, i got EC's dress at a local children's boutique, but i found it online for you:

it's not cheap (shhh, don't tell my hubby!), but it's so stinking cute, and it works for both halloween and thanksgiving so i couldn't pass it up. :)
liz, i get her dresses at boutiques, trunk shows, and on EBAY! it's my secret for getting adorable clothes at half (or even more) the normal cost. just type in "smocked" or "bishop" and the size you need and you'll find all kinds of cute things. :)
Margaret... she is the cutest child I swear!!! Life works in amazing ways doesn't it?
Adorable as always. I have that same dress for Molly. Looks like your vacation was fun! Wish we could getaway for a long weekend.
What a beautiful, adorable, sweet dress! We love fall too!
