Memorial Day weekend

We had a great weekend at Callawassie with Mom, Dad, Alan and Anna! Grayson had a blast being spoiled rotten by his Nannie and Granddaddy and playing with his aunt and uncle. Going to the pool and rides in the golf cart were the highlights of Grayson's weekend. Lots of pictures to share!!

Such an angel...

Grayson took a nice nap on his grandmother on Friday!

Mowing the lawn

Happy Birthday, Nate and Hayes!!

Grayson's friends Nate and Hayes turned one on May 10th and May 20th---it's so hard to believe that these little "babies" are already a year old! We had a fun time at the party and the babies had an even better time. Here is Hayes checking out Grayson, and a picture of the birthday babies with their cakes. Too cute! :)

Growing and growing...

I'm now 34 weeks along and Christie is 27---Emma Claire and Gibson can't wait to meet each other!

Basket...or hat?

We have a Charleston Sweetgrass basket that sits on our coffee table, and Grayson is convinced that it is a hat. In fact, if I ask him to put something in the basket he has no idea what I'm talking about until I ask him to put it in the "hat". I don't know what we ever did without our little comedian around to keep us entertained!

It's exhausting being a one-year-old!

Sometimes you just have to lay down to play with your toy car!!

No pictures while I'm pouting, Mommy!

Grayson's bottom lip sticks out SO far when he pouts, and I just love it! Today he was upset because he didn't want what he was having for lunch so that bottom lip came out...and of course, I had to grab the camera to document his pouty cuteness! Grayson decided that swatting at the camera was a good idea so these are the pictures that I got instead. :)

Happy boy!

We'll miss you, Hogans!!!

Sadly, Grayson's best friend Henry moved to Indiana on Friday. Gretchen and Ben moved in across the street the summer that I was pregnant with Grayson, Christie was pregnant with Sanders, and Gretchen was pregnant with Henry. The three of us had a great time shocking the neighborhood with our enormous bellies while we sat under the sprinkler and tried to stay cool. Sanders, Henry, and Grayson were all born in August 2005 and we have had the best time being friends and neighbors with "The Hogans", as we call them. Ben is in the Navy and is being stationed in Maryland in July, but while he's in training in FL right now Gretchen and Henry have moved to Indiana to live with Gretchie's mom until the new baby is born. Friday was our last day together, and the kiddos had such a good time playing. Grayson has been asking about "Hay-ee" (Henry) all weekend and I get so sad every time I tell him that Henry moved away! Here are some pictures of our last day together...

Memory Lane...

I was looking through old pictures today and cannot believe how much Grayson has changed since he was born! Here he is at just a few days old and then today, at 20 months.

Don't drink the water!

I just love having friends who are pregnant. My friends Christie and Gretchen both live on our street and are both having babies this summer, too---AND we all had babies in August 2005. You can see what happens if you drink the water on our street! :)

Baby Emma Claire

32 weeks belly

I'm almost 33 weeks pregnant with Grayson's baby sister, Emma Claire. I've been on bedrest since the end of February (yep, it's been over 10 weeks already!) and it's been quite an adventure with an active toddler!! I'm definitely looking forward to being allowed to be on my feet again, but not sure we're ready for a new baby just yet. My c-section is scheduled for June 21st---that's 6 weeks from today! I can't believe that she'll be here in 6 weeks or less...we still have so much to do!!

I've gained 11 lb. and have grown a very big belly. Grayson loves to pull up my shirt and kiss his "tistoo" (sister), as he calls her. Besides knowing that the basketball under my shirt is his "tistoo", we're pretty sure that he has no idea what's about to happen. I think I'm just as nervous about his reaction to Emma Claire as I am to having a newborn in the house again. What fun this will be! :)

Our sweet Grayson

Grayson is now 20 months old---WHERE has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday that he was this tiny little peanut who came home from the hospital and kept us up all night! Our world revolves around our sweet boy, and he makes us smile and laugh more than we ever thought possible. Ben and I are so in love with this child....we had no idea that being parents could be this much fun!

Grayson is full of personality---he loves learning new things and is currently obsessed with balls, blocks, cars, and trucks. On the other hand, he also loves playing with baby doll strollers, jewelry, and purses. Daddy doesn't like this, but I think it will make him well-rounded! :) He is a happy, curious, stubborn child who definitely keeps us on our toes. I don't know what we ever did without our "little buddy"! :)

I'm officially a BLOGGER!

I can't believe it's taken me this long to become a "blogger"---especially with all of the time on my hands these days and my love of playing on the internet. I decided that this would be a fun way to keep friends and family updated on our happy little family. Let's see if I can figure out how this all works...thanks for looking! :)
