Happy birthday, Emma Claire!!!

I cannot believe that my baby girl is TWO YEARS OLD!!!! Emma Claire's birthday party was on Saturday and her birthday was on Sunday. What a fun weekend!!!

She was saying, "I two, Mommy!" in this picture. :)
Uncle Alan and EC going down the water slide. Every time she'd get to the bottom of the slide, she'd say "Let's do again!". Loved it!

Please excuse my big belly in the background. :) Check out the amazing cake that a friend of mine made! We had a Lilly Pullitzer themed party---Lilly invitations, decorations, and cake. Of course, I forgot to take any pictures of the decorations, but I promise it was cute!

Grayson giving Emma Claire the present that he picked out by himself and helped wrap---he was so proud of himself!

Our precious little girl celebrated her 2nd birthday on June 21st, and I'm still trying to figure out where the past two years have gone. We had an awesome birthday party complete with a water slide in the backyard--it was a hit and worked out perfectly for the 102 degree weather we had that day. Happy birthday, my sweet Emma Claire!

Week in review....

First, we started off working in baby Whitt's nursery. Grayson and Emma Claire were great helpers/bed jumpers. :)

Miss Priss loved playing on the bed...
The next day we went to the beach--I left the camera at home so no pictures. Daddy sprayed the sand off of the kiddos when we got home...
...and after nap time Tyler, Sanders, and Gibson came over to play in the sprinklers. Tyler enjoyed posing for the camera,
Sanders mowed our newly sodded yard,
and Gibson and Grayson had a little tiff at the top of the slide.
After a delicious supper, the boys put their pajamas on and all five of them performed a lovely singing/screaming/musical show. :)
Later in the week, Emma Claire found a new spot to take a nap...
...and Grayson did something he wasn't supposed to do. Not sure what he was doing but this is his "guilty face". Gives him away every time!
Grayson and Emma Claire finished their busy week by stretching with Daddy today before he went for a run. I wish I had grabbed the camera earlier because they went through his entire stretching routine with him and it was just too cute.
I hope everybody else's week has been as fun as ours has!!

Whitt's nursery....finally!!

With three weeks to go, we finally got to work on Whitt's nursery last weekend and it's just about finished! I ordered a bed skirt for the bed and still need to find letters for his name that will go above the crib, and we ordered an amazing glider/recliner a few weeks ago that we're still waiting on. It will go where the swing is next to the crib. I'm also having a couple of pillows for the bed made from the same fabric that the crib skirt was made from---I love those little whales!

He is scheduled to arrive two weeks from today---we are SO excited to meet our precious little boy!!

I love this kid!

Is he not the cutest thing ever?? Emma Claire took a four hour nap the other day so Grayson had the sprinkler to himself and "mamarazzi" couldn't stay away! :)

36 WEEKS!!!

This has been the quickest pregnancy in the history of pregnancies---36 weeks tomorrow and my c-section is scheduled for three weeks from today on July 2nd. One of my OB's doesn't think that I'll make it that far but I'm determined to get there because I have WAY too much left to do before Whitt arrives. Still no nursery, but we're hoping to get that done this weekend. I started washing his clothes today and keep getting sidetracked just smelling the way new baby clothes washed in Dreft smell. YUM! I feel pretty good but the heat is starting to get to me...but I should probably be used to it since this is my third summer baby. Here's the latest (and maybe last??) belly picture:

Weekend at Gee Gee and Pop Pop's

We had a fun-filled weekend at Ben's parents' house this past weekend! On Saturday morning, Laura and Allison (also at the Clemson girls weekend) and their children came over to swim and eat lunch. Laura, Walt and Caroline got there first, and this was our first attempt at a group picture:
Caroline was not interested! :)
But after an hour or two in the pool, we managed to get some pretty cute group shots. Caroline (almost 3), Walt (5), Mason (1 1/2), Grayson (3 1/2), and Emma Claire (almost 2). Oh, the fun times I had with their mommies when we were in college! It's hard to believe that we are old enough to have children now!

The next day we spent the day swimming and fishing (didn't take the camera down to the pond so no pictures of that, but Emma Claire managed to catch the first fish of the day on her little Dora pole). She loved jumping to Pop Pop in the pool...
...and swimming with the adorable Puddle Jumper life jacket that Gee Gee bought her. "I do it myself" was said about ten thousand times while she was in the pool. She did not want anybody helping her "swim"!
Grayson wasn't big into swimming but did have fun playing on the steps and the sides of the pool...
Dylan, EC, and Grayson got some quality cousin time together...

and a wonderful weekend was had by all! Gee Gee and Pop Pop also babysat for us Saturday night so Ben and I could go out on a date---we had dinner at a delicious restaurant in downtown Greenville, Devereaux's, and I would recommend it to anybody in the Greenville area. We also saw the movie "The Hangover" and are still laughing about it days later. If you like raunchy humor, then it's a must-see. If you're easily offended, don't go! :)

No more traveling for this mama....baby Whitt will be here SOON!
