Movin' on..

Our big move is TOMORROW so we've been spending every free second getting the house packed up. I'm SO tired of packing and just ready to be in the new house!! We close on the new house at 9am tomorrow and the movers arrive shortly afterward...pics of the new house to come soon! :)

Playground

It was 77 degrees today so we went to the playground to enjoy the beautiful weather. Grayson had fun being a little daredevil and Emma Claire enjoyed her first time on a swing. Definitely looking forward to spring! :)

Thursday Thirteen

Since it is V-Day and all....

13 things I love about my babies

1. They light up my world just by being my babies!

2. Grayson gives the best hugs and kisses.

3. Emma Claire likes me best (Ben has always been Grayson's favorite so it's nice to be somebody's fave).

4. Grayson is such a boy--he loves trains and balls and jumping off of furniture.

5. Emma Claire is my little girl--I get to do dresses and bows all of those fun girly things.

6. Grayson has just started singing. I love that!

7. Emma Claire loves nursing. I love the special bond that we share with breastfeeding. :)

8. Grayson plays so well by himself. He loves it when Ben and I play with him but he is so good at keeping himself entertained.

9. Emma Claire has the sweetest smile I've ever seen, and her whole being lights up when you look at her.

10. Grayson is a little sponge. It is so much fun hearing the new things that he says every day.

11. Emma Claire already has such a personality. She's a quiet baby who is content just observing the world around her, but at the same time she knows what she wants and isn't afraid to let you know it.

12. Grayson and Emma Claire have identical laughs--it's hard to tell who is who when they're laughing together.

13. They both look just like their daddy, who of course is the love of my life! :)

Potty time!!!

Exciting news....Grayson tee-teed on the potty this afternoon!!! We haven't really started potty training yet but Grayson has a potty and has just started to become interested in it. Today he wanted his diaper off so he could sit on the potty. For about 45 minutes he was up and down, in and out of the bathroom running around without a diaper on. I finally told him it was time to put his diaper back on and peeked into the bathroom to see if anything was in the potty. What a surprise when I actually saw that he had gone! :) This proud mama burst into tears, started screaming, and hugged Grayson so hard his eyeballs almost popped out. Way to go, Grayson!!!
P.S. Yep, that's his tee-tee in the potty! Of course, we had to save it to show Ben when he got home. :)

Wordless Wednesday

P.S. I know that Emma Claire has been hogging the blog lately. It's just easier to take a picture of my child who sits still instead of the one who never stops moving! I'm going to try to get some decent ones of Grayson soon! :)

What it's all about...

Last night I was on the floor playing with Grayson and Emma Claire. Grayson climbed into my lap, wrapped his arms around my neck, and said, "I wuv mama." This is the first time he has told me that he loves me (without me prompting him to) and it was the absolute BEST feeling in the world!!!! :)

Quack, quack

I just had to post this picture! My friend Christie's daughter, Sanders (who is also Grayson's future wife/our goddaughter/Gibson's older sister), swallowed a little silver duck yesterday, and this is the x-ray of it in her tummy. It will be reappearing in her diaper (hopefully) sometime in the next 2 weeks. I know it wasn't funny at the time and that Christie didn't particularly enjoy spending her day in the ER with Sanders, but that x-ray just cracks me up! I love how you can tell that Sanders is screaming her head off, too. Check out Christie's blog here if you want to read the whole story. :)
