Hitting the bottle...
I can't take my eyes off of the child for ten seconds---I was in the den playing Memory with Grayson and realized that it was too quiet in the kitchen. Miss Priss had raided the liquor cabinet like it was her toy box. Cabinet lock will be installed tomorrow!
Just flew in!
Christie and I have just launched a business! We have worked our tails off for the past few weeks hauling wood (to a very nice retiree who cut them out for us), trekking to Lowes five times a day, sanding (okay, Ben did the sanding), and painting (and painting, and painting, and painting) storks---and the result is the best (okay, the only!) stork rental business in the Lowcountry! :) If you live in our area and want to rent a stork to announce the birth of a new baby, just let us know and we'd be glad to help you out. This is a picture of our first official customer--our friend Kat's mom wanted to announce the birth of her newest grandson. It's pretty cute, if I do say so myself! :)

Grayson funny...
Grayson got put in time out (or "mime out" in Grayson-ese) this morning for misbehaving. After I sat him down on the time-out spot, I left the room and heard this being yelled:
"I don't LIKE mime out!!! Mime out is YUCKY!!!"
If only he could remember that before misbehaving again ten minutes later!!! :)

I've been tagged!
Here I go....7 random/weird facts about me:
1. I hate going to the dentist. Getting my teeth cleaned makes me so anxious and nervous that I usually sit in the chair and shake the whole time. Hate it, hate it, hate it. I'd much rather go to the gyno than the dentist, and I don't hesitate to tell the dental hygienist that.
2. I've had migraines since I was 5 years old. I usually get 3 or so a week, and when I'm pregnant I get none. That is awesome.
3. My friend Christie and I are starting a stork rental business. More on that to come very soon!
4. I have a master's degree in school counseling, and I'm a stay-at-home mommy. I don't regret deciding to quit my job one bit, although I wouldn't mind going back to work again one day.
5. I didn't name either of my children---I love their names, but Ben picked them out. Grayson is named after Ben (Grayson Bennett) and I wanted Emma Claire to be Clara Elizabeth. I get to decide on the next child's name! :)
6. I am terribly unorganized. I don't make lists, I don't keep a calendar, and I hate to file. I'd rather just remember appointments in my head or keep stacks of important things in cabinets or drawers. I own a really fun Mom Agenda calendar that I keep in my pocketbook and take everywhere I go, but I rarely write in it and when I do I usually forget that I've written in it. This drives most of my friends (who are all extremely list and calendar-oriented!) crazy.
7. My 3-year-old told me today that "the magic word is dammit". I burst out laughing and had to leave the room because I couldn't stop and it just made him keep repeating it. After I calmed myself down, I went back and had a discussion about how it's a bad word and we don't say things like that (note to self: watch your mouth). Oops. :(
I'm going to tag:
Have fun, girls! :)
Welcome, Baby Ford!

Pumpkin patch!
She fell asleep as soon as we left. So sweet!
Emma Claire and Gibson
I can't believe we got all five of them to sit for a picture! Tyler, EC, Gibson, Sanders, and Grayson
Pictures aren't in order because I can't figure out how to move them around using my MacBook, but you get the idea---we had a great time and the children were worn out by the time we left. I love this time of year!

Gee Gee and Pop Pop's house
Playing with Pop Pop
Playing with friends Price and Bates---this was literally the ONE second that we got all three of them to sit together. :)
EC loves her big cousin, Alyssa
We spent last weekend at Ben's parents' house and I'm just now getting a chance to upload pictures. They gave Grayson and Emma Claire their Christmas present a couple of months early---a swingset/playhouse! The children LOVE it! Thank you so much, Gee Gee and Pop Pop!
